Can from Harris Teeter, Alexandria VA. Golden in colour, with a white head. Easy drinking beer, with some soft grains, touch of floral hop and hint of citrus fruit. Fine.

12 ounce can. Clear medium gold color. Frothy white head. Faint biscuit malt nose. Flavor follows nose. Light white bread maltiness. Crisp and lightly sweet. Little hop character. Easy drinking, but unmemorable.

Nothing good here. “Wheat ale” seems to be cover for a light, flavorless American-style blonde beer with nothing to offer but a moderate swath of vanilla on the back end. Tastes like a severely watered-down cream soda. Slight pilsnerish malts and a tiny bit of bread on the fade, but otherwise a vanilla spritzer. Hard pass.

Pale yellow, slight haze. Smells a little metallic. Odd nutty feel, perhaps some vanilla. Not impressed, but hey, I don't like filberts. Like many beers that attempt the nut thang. At only 5.5%, its still a little boozy.

12 oz bottle from Half Time. Great name. Accurate description.
Clear golden, off white head. Smells of vanilla. Tastes pretty much like a vanilla wheat beer. Tingle feel, light body. Maybe could use a little more of something beyond the vanilla and wheat, but I’m not mad at it. Got what I was expecting.

Crisp, ever so slightly hazy golden coloured body with absolutely no head at all. Aroma of wheat, pungent metal and medicinal scents and a touch of vanilla and oak, but not much of anything else or anything too pungent. Light-bodied; Deep super strong flavour of vanilla, almost too pungent, like a custard or cream, with a touch of malt (with no real wheat detected), some grasses and dry oak, but the vanilla and caster sugar sweetness come out more than anything else. Aftertaste is perhaps a tad too vanilla-centric with a lot of sweetness and vanilla/oak flavours and not much of anything else. Overall, an interesting beer, although pretty much what I expected, which is sad to say, not a great beer - good if you like light-bodied, easy-drinking beers with a TON of vanilla notes! I sampled this stubby-ish twelve ounce bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 02-October-2016 for US$1,99 sampled at home in Washington, in front of the store on 15-June-2017. ’Best By: 24-December-2016 on label’.
