Hopnaut Double Juicy IPA

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a slightly hazy yellow golden color with a white head. Has a fruity piney hoppy citrus aroma. Fruity malty hoppy bitter piney citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty piney citrus hoppy bitter finish.

12 ounce can. Hazy medium gold pour. Large frothy beige head. Bready malt nose. Notes of stone fruit and pears. Huge hoppy notes upfront. Resiny pine and grapefruit. Astringent bitter ness throughout. Dank and intense.

Golden pour with medium foam. Hop taste with slight sweetness. Dry palate. Easy carbonation.

Grapefruit and lilly nose. Clear amber, medium head, nice lace. Grapefruit, weed, honeycomb. Medium body, soft carbonation, resinous..

Can. Beer is an almost clear gold, but let’s add it as a hazy neipa? Fuck my old boot! What an utter shitshow! Good pale cream colour head. Smooth light palate, semi dry, decent fine minerally carbonation. Light malts, a light creamy sweetness. Quite a savoury and bitter hop bite. Crisp pine. Light citrus, about half of which would be citric peel. Mild hop spice. A crisp and bitter citric peel finish. Decent. Could do with either a sweeter malt base or a brighter hop profile.

On tap at Spitfire lightly foggy dull golden with a thin white head and lacing. Light pale malts and smooth fruity hop flavors. Rather strong and full bodied residuals and ABV heft are there. A serious hazy

Can from a trade with tfontana. October 2019 canning date. Aroma of malt, light tropical hints, and pine. Flavor had a huge malt backbone, very little fruit and ends with astringent pine.

This brewery calls this a New England IPA?! No F ‘ ing way. The astringent pine resin ruins this brew. And it doesn’t display any juice whatsoever. Just dry pine.

Can pour into nonic pint glass from Total Wine & More, Danvers. Appearance is lightly hazy, golden yellow with decent sparkle, finger-width, white foamy head with fair retention and fair soapy lacing. Aroma is strong, dominant lemony citrus with pine and hint of tart fruit. Taste is strong pine, citrus, melon and late saltine cracker. Alochol is hidden well. Mouthfeel is light side of light-to-medium bodied with thin, frothy texture, soft carbonation and dry, crisp cracker and mild bitter finish. Overall, this sure doesn't drink like an imperial NEIPA. Mouthfeel is thin for either DIPA or NEIPA, let alone both. Look is not NEIPA either so I think they were going for more juicy than hazy. That being said, the pine and citrus are not terribly juicy. Still, strong flavors that work well. Makes me feel like I'm in the Rockies woods than in NE.
