330mml. Bottle as part of a trade with Rosenbergh. Many thanks for this bottle. Tasted on the 23/03/2019 at home. Paired with goat cheese. Pale yellow colour with no head. Aroma is grapefruit, light barnyard and tart. Taste is zesty grapefruit, mild salty and sour. Finish is light sour and citrusy. Low body and carbonation. Next one please!!

Bottle 33 cl. Comes as Donut Island Ich Bin Ein Berner Grapefruit Gose. Pours a cloudy, pale yellow with a small, white head. Very funky Brett nose atop some clear grapefruit. Light body, I get the saltiness and again massive Brett where a Gose normally would have a cleaner lactic tartness. Again grapefruit juice. Kinda interesting if not exactly to style. 070219

Bottle. Pours unclear yellow. Aroma is grapefruit, juice, perfume, blooming flowers. Body is light, mostly carbonation, lots of lemon, peel, grapefruit. Palate is light and softly sour. Good!

A light yellow beer, a head is quite small and white. Aroma has sourness, fruitness of grapefruit and mango. Taste has strong sourness, grapefruits, some wheat. Light+ bodied. Decent.

Draught @ Kitty’s Public House, Keskuskatu 6, Helsinki, Finland 00100. [ As Hiisi / Donut Island Ich Bin Ein Berner Grapefruit ].Hazy medium orange yellow colour with a average, good lacing, mostly lasting, white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, tart, salty, grapefruit, light plastic. Flavor is moderate sweet and light acidic with a long duration, dough, salty, grapefruit, medium dry. Draft at SOPP 2017 in Helsinki. Hazy yellow color. Grapefruit aroma. Taste is lightly tart citrus. Refreshing.

On tap at BrewDog Helsinki. Mid- to dark gold, cloudy, absolutely no head. Smells of seawater, grapefruit, sweat. Hints of a post-coital beach towel. Tastes tart with a salty note. Lacks the intensity of the aroma but it’s more balanced. Finish is short and mouthfeel is watery so a bit off for that. However this comes together rather nicely, despite the fact it’s missing out in the final third so to speak. I recommend this.
