This is our tribute to an ancient grain of Asia – Buckwheat! Instead of using it as a starch source for brewing, we use a special blend of roasted Buckwheat grains for their unique flavor. Since we want this elegant flavor to be the center of attention and enjoyment, typical beer flavors do not dominate this lager beer. The pale barley and wheat malt, together with the yeast strain and the low fermentation temperatures, provide the perfect basis to showcase the delicate aroma of roasted Buckwheat. Your expectations will not be disappointed!

Draught @ MBCC '17 [ Yellow Session ]. - Mikkeller Beer Copenhagen Celebration 2017, Øksnehallen, Halmtorvet 11, 1700 København V, Danmark. [ As SUNMAI Haiku ].Clear light to medium yellow colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate malty, buckwheat - wheat, fruity malt, wheat. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, bickwheat, sweet malt, pale malt, wheat. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20170512] 6-3-6-3-11

Tap@MBCC May 2017, Copenhagen - fuzzy golden yellow coloured pour with white head. Fruity and malty with some citrus fruity notes, yeasty, white bready malty, grainy and grassy hoppy finish.

MBCC. Clear yellow with small off-white head. Aroma is malt, yeast, hop, grainy and grass. Flavour is malt, yeast, grainy, grass, hop, spices and medium sweet.

Keg at cbc17 yellow... Golden yellow.. Thin white lacing.. Grassy hay fruits nose.. Ling grass fruit.. Biscuity finish.

Draft - Earthy grains, nutty and raw. Clear gold with a decent white head. Starchy and raw grains. Not my thing but as described.

Sample at MBCC 2017. Golden with a white head. Quite thin with bread, grass and spices. A bit boring to be honest.

Tap @MBCC2017, Yellow Session. Nearly clear golden, white head. Bready aroma, light citrus notes. Doughy flavour, pale malt and light hops. Not bad, quite refreshing.
