HOW IT TASTES
Crafted with flaked oatmeal and roasted barley, this dark refreshing ale has notes of freshly roasted coffee beans, cocoa and touches of dried fruit.

HERITAGE
Originally brewed at the beginning of the Great War, when hops became harder to source. Rich and complex in style with a silky smooth mouthfeel due to the higher oil content in oats.

Pig’s Ear Fest. Cask. Clear deep brown beer, small pale tan head, Palate is smooth and has low carbonation. Mild dark malts, touches of dark chocolate and dark fruits. Some ripe fruits. The lack of condition sucks what little life there is from this thin standard stout. Dull and tired.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2016 - London. Pours black-brown with a frothy, off-white head. The aroma holds nice roast, citrusy hops, suggestions of cocoa. Light sweet flavor with some dusty cocoa, low roast, dried dark fruits. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Somewhat dry in the finish, with more toasted malts, baking cocoa, scorched earth and dried berries. Pretty good stuff.
