750 ml bottle. Color is a dark liquid, dirty brown on the edges and black in the center. No head with weak carbonation. Nose is oak, Earthy wet basement and weak roasted malts. Flavor starts with oak barrel, tart sour fruits, has a slight dry roasted sweetness to it as well. It’s sour and tart but not in a good way. More like a home brew that wasn’t meant to be sour. This was like a sour brown or a stout done really wrong. Anyhow sourheads that come across this shouldn’t expect much. The one thing I did like about it was the big oak characteristic. Not much else.

750 mL bottle from the brewery, shared at the Richmond Industry Gathering. Pours a clear dark brown color with a large fizzy brown head. Decent head retention. Aroma of earthy, peppery funk. The taste is earth, roasted malts, cherries and mild funk. Medium bodied. Decent.
