India Pale Ale: Steeped in history; forgotten, then rediscovered and reinvigorated by Craft Brewers in America. Ours is a modern take on this old style, where a rounded malt body meets an avalanche of hops. Mango, lychee and grapefruit are the flavours here, all balanced by an assertive bitterness.
Pairs best with spicy foods like Thai & Indian curries, or rich, sweet desserts like crème brulee and carrot cake.

Cask at the Saffrons taproom. Poured a clear medium amber colour with a lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, woody hops. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a rich, smooth, herbal, aromatic, big hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Over medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Handpull cask at the Blue Boar, Leicester as part of their 'From Sussex with Love' festival, July 2022. Light to mid-golden, clear with the thinnest possible ring of white head. Sticky resinous aroma with sugared butter, Sussex pond pudding, citrus-infused caramel. Sweet taste with hoppy bitterness asserting itself through to the finish. Oh my days. An amazing cask IPA.
