Big, bittersweet DIPA, more of the latter than the former, with a heavy, syrupy caramel malt front tapering off into a massively IBU-packed back end. Orange-tinted hops provide a marmalade-slathered toast character, yet the hops are a bit medicinal in their piney aggressiveness, giving the beer an overly resinous finish. A bit astringent as well, the alcohol making its presence known both in the taste and feel. Need fine-tuning.
