The Hamburg Style Lager Prototyp was the first of a kind in Germany and turned into a „Prototype“ for a whole new Beerstyle in Germany. The unique and fruity flavor of the Prototyp is backed by dry-hopping the beer. After primary fermentation it is matured for seven weeks with two different aroma hops. The Prototyp is smooth and refreshing like a lager beer and has the fruitiness of a Pale Ale. Naturally - unfiltered and not pasteurized.

Appearance: Dark golden, slightly hazy. Huge amount of white head.
Aroma: Light fruits, citrus. Hops.
Taste: Good hops, light fruits. Good lasting bitterness. Decent balance.

Golden with little white head. Aroma is unripe banana flour dandelion. Taste is fresh sour with little flour on the tongue. Ok.

Tap. Hazy golden color with white head. Aroma is gooseberries, mango and other exotic fruits, flowery, as well. Super-perfumed, but in the nicest ways. Taste is soft mango fruit, pale malts. Medium carbonation, oily mouthfeel. Very nice!

Bottle at Liebesbier Bayreuth. clear gold lasting white head. you can smell the dry hopping straight away sherbet grassy hop aroma. OK in mouth more fruit citrus and white stone fruit. bitter finish. good.

Bottled 330ml. -Yellow coloured, medium sized airy white head, dusty nose. Moderate malty, grassy, citrusy hoppy and slightly floral with bitterish grassy finish. Not bad but pretty average.

Bottle at home. Pours hazy golden with nice white head. Aroma of hay, grass, dms, citrus, some pine needles, fruity. Taste has only little malt sweetness and a distinct bitterness. Well balanced. Thin bodied, dry mouth feel. Unfortunately, the sampled beer was already a week beyond its best before date, but it was still a very good beer.
