Quite dark, just short of being stout dark. Inky. This has some booziness on the nose, with a good coconut character, and some figs and toffee. On the palate, the barley wine has really nice depth. It's quite fruity, lots of dates. A fruitcake character has me thinking orange peel. The coconut comes into the finish, blending fruity depths with a light chocolate and some tannic, alcoholic dryness from the barrel.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark mahogany brown with a small white head. Aroma is complex, with lots of dark dried fruits, bourbon, oak, caramel, and plenty of brown sugar. Flavour is extremely rich and elegant, with tons of coconut, dark dried fruits, brown sugar, bourbon, and caramel. All the notes work beautifully and the barrels round things out beautifully.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Dark brown with no head. Sticky toffee, soft mild coconut, nice barrel underlay, very nice.

Creamy lightbrown good mostly diminishing head. Dark brown colour. Moderate malty and hoppy aroma. Moderate bitter flavor. Long heavy bitter finish. Creamy palate.

Bottle @ Cafe Albert. Pours almost clear dark brown with a small brown head. Aroma of sweet malt, bread, wood, bourbon, light vanilla. Flavor is sweet, rich malty, caramel, bread, wood, bourbon, vaniilla, alcohol. Medium to full body, soft to average carbonation, sweet malty finish with warming alcohol. 111123
