Bottle thanks to Stefan, too generous. Creamy ruby brown pour and minimal head. Nose is bourbon and vanilla and toffee and some red fruit. Tastes of dried cherry and apricot, toffee, nugget, bourbon, oaky, some alcohol film. Creamy mouth feel. Slight warming after burn. Quite nice

Dullish pale amber looks like shit barley wine. Sweet but refined, golden syrup and dates. Not sophisticated though…seems like doing a pale barley wine but not nailing it…looking for either a complex malt/fruity thing or a hop punch or something. This leans way too meh, especially considering the usual quality of these beers.

22 oz. bottle, pours a deep dark amber with a small beige head. Nose is full of toffee, bourbon, brown sugars, and bready caramel. Flavour is rich, with lots of toffee, caramel, brown sugars, etc., rounded out a beautiful bourbon presence. Oily, sticky palate, finishing with bourbon, low bitterness, treacle toffee, and brown sugars. Excellent.

bomber bottle. Dark brown pour with a small beige head that soon recedes to a ring around the glass. Aroma of apples, caramel and sawdust. The taste is nougat, toffee, apples, some oak woodiness and a bit of whiskey. The palate is medium in viscosity and appropriate for the style. Finishes long and semi-sweet with lingering brown sugar and bitter wood. Overall: Decent--Reminds me a bit of Alesmith's Decadence barley wines. I'm gonna stash a bottle for aging. Paired well with some Spanish sheep cheese.
