14th Anniversary Golden Barleywine Ale is a blend of 4 and 18-month old barrel-aged golden barleywine ale and Brew 7000 aged in 5-9-year old bourbon barrels from various distillers.
Down & Dirty: Maris Otter, Maris Otter Pale, Carafa 2, and White Wheat with Columbus, US Goldings, and Chinook hops
ABV: 14.9% IBU: 25
Color: Light mahogany
Aroma: Molasses, brown sugar, caramel, toffee and vanilla, dried fruit, graham cracker, whiskey & oak
Flavor: Mildly sweet, slightly bitter, mild lingering sweetness with a slight umami. Medium body, some tingling carbonation, some warming, mildly spicy and moderately mouthwatering

22oz bottle pours out amber topped with a sand head. Nose is nice sweet caramel toffee malts bourbon barrel vanilla and some pitfruit. Taste is more of the nice sweet caramel brown sugar pitfruit bourbon barrel vanilla.

Tasting at Ryan's, bottle
Dark amber colour, slightly opaque. Aroma of malt and vanilla. Full bodied, sweet; caramel sauce, malt, it has enough depth; loads of vanilla, and some alcohol. I would expect more complexity, but it's a very good brew nevertheless.

22oz shared with Alex and Farees (thx, for the bottle!) @ Ryan's after crazy several weeks helping wife with her business. Appearance: dark copper with a beige head. Aroma: caramel, sweet, creamy notes from the oak. Taste: along the same lines, a little bit boozy. Overall: pretty good, but 13th impressed much more, though.

Poured from 650mL bottle. Clear-ish copper with light beige head. Quite oaky, toffee, honey, very feint hint of bourbon. Decent, prefer 13th anniversary.
