Van de tap bij Free Beer Duinoord. Donkerbruine kleur, beige kraag. Zoet-moutig, bruine broodkorst, caramel, licht gebrand, hint van donker fruit, vleugje koffie. Lichte body. Degelijke Dunkel.

Draft at The Rake in Borough Market, London. Translucent chestnut brown pour. Creamy bride cap. Toasted malt aroma has nutty, earthy notes. Flavor is tangy, dark malt. Hints of cocoa and toffee. A touch of peppery bitterness on backend.

440ml can. Clear dark brown, beige head. Aroma of toasted bready malts, caramel, dried fruits. Taste is much the same with malts tasting like toast, brown bread, caramel/toffee, some dried fruits, bittersweet leaning more towards the bitter side in the finish. Medium bodied. Nice one.

Tasty if mild, subtle toasted malts, fairly assertive earthy bitterness (esp. for a dunkel), a little dry caramel, burnt toast, leaves. Lingering bitterness. Not bad.
