Stout is a dark beer made using roasted barley malt, hops and yeast. Traditionally the strongest (stoutest) porters, preferred by dock workers in the 19th century England. Today associated more with dark beer rather than just strong.

Olmost black with a off white head - Malt aroma with hints of caramel - Malt body that has some hints of roasted malt - The roasted malt goes into the finish - This was good

300ml draught at Den Glade Gris. A patchy, fawn-coloured head, scattered lacing, Black with a shade of brown. Roasted malty nose, mid-sweet. Brown and black malty flavours, hints of dark chocolate and caramel, joined by a touch of dark fruits. Rounded, roasted malt bitterness to the ending. Fine bodied. Pleasant version of the style (Oslo 24.05.2016).

Boks 330 på Maskineriet. Svart. Høyt mokkafarget skum som daler sakte. Litt filigranser. Lett melkesjokoladearoma. Silkemyk munnfølelse. Balansert. Smaken litt lakris & sjokolade. Søt. Blir behagelig tørr etter hvert. Spor av kaffe i avslutninga.

33cl can at Maskineriet, Tromsø. Pours dark, dark mahogany with a fairly modest, beige head. Aroma of roasted malt with mild chocolate notes, dark fruits and hints of coffee. Medium sweet with mild, but rather nice roasty flavours with a mild bitterness. Quite tasty.
