Bottle from Waitrose, Stevenage. Straw-yellow with a very thin head. Has a skunky lager malt aroma, but not as bad in taste, however there’s nothing much to shout about here. No carbonation as it’s a lager styled ale.

Keg at the White Hart, Otley, Suffolk. Gleaming gold in hue with a small white head and a light fizz. Grassy up front with peachy notes coming through. For a lager this is pretty decent; the only downside is the mouthfeel, which is chalky and almost powdery. However, not bad, quite refreshing and very drinkable.

Hazy pale gold beer. Crisp palate but not as crisp as you would expect a lager. Very moderate carbonation. Light malt and not much else. Dull as dishwater.
