Pours black from the can. Beige, creamy head. Aroma of coffee latte, toast, milk chocolate. Taste is bitter, full of coffee grounds and roasted grains. Just a hint of tartness. A milk chocolate sweetness lingers at the end. Body is medium to full, carbonation is mild. Pretty good.

Sample at the taproom. Black pour with some brown around the edges, and a medium thin beige head that recedes quickly to a dense film. Sparse patches of lace. Aroma of malt, chocolate and coffee. Light to medium body with flavors of roast malt, chocolate and mild coffee. The finish is roasty with a chocolate malt aftertaste. Decent overall.

Pour is a motor oil black with almost no head at all. Aroma is a decent roast/char malt. Flavor is again a roasted and charred malt. Finish is light but leaves some roasted malt on the tongue. As a stout this is fine but this is totally missing the lactose sweetness you want to have in this style. Decent malt used but barley any lactose.
