Point Cascade Pale Ale is handcrafted combining special top-fermenting yeast and a dry hopping process to create this truly classic American Pale Ale. The intriguing character is derived from generous quantities of the choicest Yakima Valley Cascade hops and the finest crystal, 2 row pale, and Munich malts. The result is a delicious American Pale Ale with a signature fragrant hop bouquet and soft malt palate.

Appearance- light amber, hazy, frothy head which diminishes instantly. Aroma is lots of orange, tangerine, pine hints, very fruity. Taste- smooth, malts, medium mouthfeel, hop bitterness in the background, juicy fruit, bit of orange zest. Nice and drinkable.

355ml bottle bought last July at Sourced Market, St Pancras in London. Two finger sized, near white head, fine retention and lacing. Cloudy golden body. Grassy hops on the nose. Flavoured with hops promoting pineapples and peaches. Bittersweet fruity endnotes. Smooth and rather easy going (shared with Finn, Tromsø 05.03.2014).

UK version. Flaske 0,355 l. Spandert av Rune og delt under seanse i WCveien 5 Mar 14. Gyldenbrun med litt gulskjær. Lettskyet. Høyt kremaktig skum med litt lacing. Bra ferskenaroma. Smaken litt vassen. Fersken og tiltakende syrlig grapefruktsmak.

Bottle, Morrisons, New Brighton. Amber looks with a white head. Sweet malts, fruit and a little hop in the nose. Flavour a let down, thin and lacklustre hop bitterness mingled with sweet maltiness..Drinkable but a bland and ultimately average offering. Looks like someone brought a ton of this to the UK for a cash in attempt. 10 years back it might have been worth it but now there’s much better British beers . All a bit ’point’ less really.

Clear bright gold beer, little white head. Light crisp palate, semi dry. Very light creamy malt. Crispy minerals. Light but decent citrus hops. Finishes dry. Not setting the world alight but decent enough.

Bottle from Morrisons. Clear amber. Thick, off white head that soons disappears. Initial aromas are sweet biscuit malt and some grapefruit bitterness. It all soon turns a tad sickly sweet and hard going after that, though.

Had this at the Cleveland Arms, Paddington, London, Saturday 17th August 2013 Pours gold with white head. Rather to much toffee for me. It was moderately refreshing, busy carbobation but all in all lacked a hoppy bite. Drinking this made me realise just how good the new wave of better UK micros are. This was really disappointing. Bottle at Sourced Market, St Pancras. Clear gold beer with thin white head. Some diacetyl on aroma. An ok if uninspired pale ale in the mouth, not much hop, some cascades, some hop on finish. Bit ordinary and the aroma doesn’t help.

Pours clear amber with a quick, off-white head. Scent is caramel malt, herbal hops. Taste is lightly spiced, hop and malt....floral. A bit watery, but fairly nice tasting.
