Keg at Canopy Brewery Tap, Herne Hill Saturday 3rd December 2016 whilst on a Brixton and Brockwell Park walk from the London Hidden Walks Book vol 2 Hazy straw coloured beer with a little white head. A touch of millpond on the nose. Pleasant in fact really good Kolsch, smooth but also with a nice flinty mineral crisp bite. Ang’ suggested we go for this, he was right its very good. The taste is crisp, bitter, grassy, straw, white bread, cereal and a touch of spice with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Well - rounded and quaffable. Nice lagerbier.

Bottle at home in London - picked up at the Canopy taproom. Pours crystal clear yellow with a frothy, white head. The aroma holds simple pale grains, a little grass, ripe lemon, biscuits. Light sweet flavour with some sugary white bread, more grains, light peach, tangerine, straw. Light bodied with average carbonation. Decently well balanced on the finish, with further biscuity malts, a little grain husk, lemon rind, cereal, citrus, hay. Pretty good overall. Very drinkable.
