330ml bottle into schooner glass. Faint cocoa nose, a little fruit. Mahogany red/brown beer with solid creamy head. Laces well. Fine constant carbonation. Light body. Touch of honey in the flavour. Short finish is pleasantly bitter with honey/malt notes. Easy drinking porter.

Fairly uninspired. Some roast and light coffee, but not a huge palate on this. Pours black with ok head and lacing. Light bitter finish with some cloying tangy aftertaste. Bottle from Manitoba Liquor Mart.

(Bottle) Very dark, essentially black, with small short-lived tan head. Subtle, fresh, grainy aroma. Light body with good soft plentiful carbonation. Taste is balanced mix of burnt, flinty and sour notes with little malt, and some bitterness in finish. One of my least favorite beer styles, however this is very drinkable.
