Bottled 7/18. Black with a brown head that's a coat after a while. Aroma of heavy roast, coffee, dark sugars, some blackberries, pine, hints of soy sauce. Is this a Wild Thing clone? Pretty full bodied, lowish carbonation. Moderate sweetness, roast that's verging on acrid, blackberries, dark chocolate, a fair bit of spicy bitterness. I do like the way it avoids heaviness. Not one of your confectionery imperial stouts. Very good.

Bottle shared at CBC CG - London. Courtesy of Daveo. Pours black-brown with a creamy, tan head. So so overall, moderate roast, dry cocoa, scorched earth. Full bodied with average, massaging carbonation. Warming finish, more bittersweet cocoa. Drinks pretty good.

Bottle shared with the KL tasting crew. Poured a clear dark brown colour with a short-lived dark tan head. The aroma is big roasty malt, liqouirce, chocolate. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich oily, roasty, sweet chocolate, liqouirce, boozy alcohol palate and a rich oily mouthfeel. Medium to full bodied with flat carbonation.

Bottle split at CBC Covborn, thanks to the Wingman, 10/10/18. Pitch black with a decent looking dirty tan head. Nose is chocolate, dried fruits, molasses, brown bread. Taste comprises mellow roast, cocoa powder, toffee, fruit loaf, brown sugar, light spice. Medium bodied with bite, fine carbonation, drying close with a light boost. Passable sipper but lacking depth and complexity for the style/ABV!
