Bottle bought through Systembolaget. Pours clear greenish golden leaving some clearly seen nice looking legs on the glass. Smell is sweet and slightly floral with honey, lemon juice, dried flowers, freshly harvested hay, alcohol, lemon peal and hints of bees wax. Taste is sweet, fruity and tiny floral with honey, dates, figs, raisins, hay, flower nectar, minerals, lemon peal, alcohol and hints of bees wax. Mouthfeel is sticky sweet, tiny fruity tart, boozy and medium to full bodied. Finish is sweet with honey, figs, raisins, hay, lemon peal, alcohol and bees wax. Surprisingly heavy on the dark dried fruits that’s both tasty and gives an interesting dimension to this mead. Very sweet so best enjoyed in moderation but also very good. --- Beer merged from original tick of Dubbelt on 16 Jan 2015 at 21:52 - Score: 8. Original review text: Very sweet and with a nice dark dried fruit dimension to it --- Beer aliased from original tick of Grimfrost Jarl’s Brew on 13 Apr 2019 at 10:35.
