A lager made in small batches, in a microbrewery, which is open-top fermented, lagered, dry hopped and unfiltered….can it be true?

Lightly hazy gold beer, good white head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Very light pale malts, light bitter floralness and modest citrus. Finishes dry and crisp with a pithy bitter linger that is vaguely grapefruit. Mmm - it’s a bit hollow taste wise and what taste there is mostly bitterness but can’t say I hate it.

Keg at Cronx Open Day. It pours clear golden-amber with a thick white head. The nose is toasted grain, mild smoke, cereal, barnyard and hay.The taste is crisp, bitter, cereal, pale malt, grain, light grass, lime, lemon peel and minerals with a dry finish. Medium body and fine, prickly carbonation. A bit too barnyard on the nose, but it is crisp and refreshing. Decent.

Keg at CBC clerkenwell. Sroma is lager yeast and straw and a touch of smoke? Light yellow straw colour with a small white head. Flavour is clean straw / hay malt profile. Still get a bit of smoked malt in the flavour a bit odd. Nice enough. Good to see some craft lagers on the London scene.
