(Draught at Bryden’s, Toronto ON June 19th 2013) Pours a medium yellow, light haze may just be chill, decent pillowy white head that left a bunch of lace. Aroma grapefruit flesh, canned pineapple, catty, faintest yeast and grain behind but Citra owns the nose, slightly tart. Flavour has grapefruit rind, a bit of pineapple and a some catty hop funk to start, lightly bitter. Mid-palate dries with a sweetish malt lingering in the background, flavor has some citrus hop bitterness and light spice, earthy yeast plus some pale malt grains. Finish is fairly dry with a citra character lingering. Body moderate for a saison, carb also moderate for the style. Fresh, more Citra than saison and definitely on the "American Farmhouse" side of the style but a good alternative to an APA on a sunny day.

Great job here. Shacklands is really batting 10 for 10 so far. Pours slightly cloudy golden with good lacing and head. Some coriander in aroma with citrus tang and a touch of booze. Yeast as well. Soft carbonation. Slightly sweet finish. Tap at volos.

A hazed blonde saison with a thin white head. In aroma, very fruity malt with lightbubblegum, catnip hops, orange notes, very nice. In mouth, a nice citrusy saison, with light papaya, catnip hops, tad too sweet but nice.
