The beer formerly known as Bomber" makes its grand return!
We couldn't possibly just let go of such a cracking IPA, so it's got a shiny new name and label but still the same wonderful tropical, juicy hop flavour we all know and love. It sits perfectly alongside Brave New World as two examples of the way we like our IPAs.
Malt: Golden Promise
Hops: Motueka, Mosaic

Hazy gold beer, tidy pale cream colour head. Palate is light, fairly dry and has decent fine carbonation. Fluffy pale malts, sweetish. Nice light floral citrus and mango led tropical fruits. Pithy orange and orange peel. Piney hop spicy dry finish. Wasnβt over impressed with this IPA on the first few sips, but itβs a real grower.

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Daniel. Pours clear gold with s frothy, pure white head. Nice aroma, some pithy grapefruit, tangerine, lemon rind. Medium sweet flavour, pithy, with rindy lemon and grapefruit, some hay, minerals, dry pale bread. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with more pith, rind, minerals. Great aroma, OK flavour.

Bottle thanks to Danny at level 42. It pours clear pale gold with a small white head. The aroma is soft, sweet, pina colada, candied peel, pineapple, grassy action and nectarine. The taste is smooth, bitter - sweet, juicy, tropical fruits, grassy, danky, pineapple, nectarine, pepper and straw with a dry finish. Medium body and soft, foamy carbonation. Pretty juicy and delicious.

Bottles from Cork & Cask and Bottle Baron. Clear body with a medium white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of kiwi fruit, marmalade, melon and honey. Flavour of orange, honey, lime and a peppery finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. A bit sweeter than my favourite IPAs but this is a quality beer. I liked it more and more as I drank.

Bomber, of course, from Appellation Wines, Dalry Rd. Appearance - golden with a nice fluffy head. Nose - mango and lime. Taste - more mango, rich orange through the middle with a tangy lime finish. Palate - close to medium bodied with a creamy yet tangy texture and a long dry tangy finish. Overall - lovely ipa, just verging on double ipa in terms of texture and strength.

Bottle from Cornelius. Pours clear golden with a light haze and a thin white head. Aromas of heady, resinous hops, ripe mango, juicy dankness. Taste is bitter, chewy resinous hops again, green plant stalks. Light malt sweet in the middle, building to a heavy bitter finish.
