Pours a slightly cloudy pale yellow, with smallish head. Aroma is marked by citrus and pine. Flavor is quite bitter, with pronounced hop bite helped by the rye. A strong citrus presence as well. Finish is quite bitter. Nice beer.

Sample at Ale Wine & Spirits in Powell on 02/23/2012. This beer is a slightly hazy yellow-amber color with a medium fizzy white head that burns away steadily to a film. Spotty lacing on the glass. Aroma of hops, malt and a bit of spice. Light body with flavors of floral hops, sweet malt and a touch of spice. The finish is mildly hoppy with a short earthy aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

A hazed amber ale with a thin off white head. In aroma, a nice smooth rye bread with floral hops, very nicely done. In mouth, a smooth nutty malt with piney hops, menthol notes, oily, nice and smooth. Bottle at Istmus Beer and Cheese Fest, Jan 21 2012.
