Draft @ Malmö Öl & Whisky Festival 2017. Pours a black color with a small tan head. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocolate aroma. Roasted malty licorice and chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty licorice and chocolate finish.

Flaska från SB. Mörkt brun, nästan svart vätska med högt mörkbeige skum. Doft som är ganska söt med värmande alkohol, men också kärv, med hårt rostad malt, kaffe, svartbröd, mörk choklad, brownies och kaffelikör. Rejäl kropp, bra balans mellan sötma och kärvhet, påtaglig beska med liten chiliton och lång fin eftersmak. Riktigt gott.

Bottled (thanks omhper!). Black colour, mediumsized brown head. Aroma is ashes, some sweet liquorice, mild toasted toffee as well as some earthy notes. Flavour is kind of ashy, some slight fruity notes with mild smoked wet wooden notes.

(330ml bottle from Systembolaget web order) Pours black with an averaged sized tight latte coloured head that lasts well with lace. Aroma of rather heavily roasted malt, spent coffee grounds, liquorice, berries, tar and smoke. Flavour has a quite sweet dark toffee and syrup core balanced heavily roasted, burnt malts, ash, black coffee, slight chocolate. Finish is dry with quite high bitterness from burnt grain, tar, liquorice, coffee grounds. Medium body, soft carbonation, no alcohol heat. High on the roasted, bitter quality so it demands slower drinking, but it is a solid imperial stout.

Bottled, from Systembolaget. Black, rich beige head. Rich milk chocolate aroma. Very sweet with full body and thick, rounded mouthfeel. Milk chocolate, salmiak and strawberry esters. White pepper and some sugar burn in the finish. Like coffee/licrorice ice cream topped with sugar. Not for me.
