Cask (handpump) @ Craft Beer Co - St Mary Axe, 29-31 Mitre Street, Aldgate, Greater London, England EC3A 5BU. [ As Dark Star Rockhead ].Clear dark red brown colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, moderate hoppy, citrus, fruity hops. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, chocolate, dark malt, hop bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20151204] 7-3-8-4-15

On tap at Beavertown 4th birthday event. Clear brown. Lasting beige head. Malty beer. Really malty decent grapefruit. Fine.

(Cask at Viisi Penniä, 20160129) The beer poured mahogany coloured and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and grass. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were grass, caramel, malts and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A nice malty brew.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Dark amber-brown with a slightly off-white creamy head. Strong tasting with a tropical fruitiness in both aroma and taste.

(Cask at Craft Beer Co Clerkenwell, London, 24 Nov 2015) Reddish brown colour with foamy, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of dark fruit, resin, pine needles and roasted malt. Malty, hoppy taste with dark fruit, pine needles, dark bread, a touch of resin and a generous piney bitterness. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Rich and tasty brown ale with a generous hop presence. Nice one.

Pigs Ear Day 4. Cask. Clear deep amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light, semi dry. Decent fine carbonation. Decent caramel - toffee malts. Little floralness. Hop skunk and pine. Hop spice. Mild ripe fruits. Light finish. Nice.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 7/1/2016. Deep, reddish-brown with a moderate, off-white, head. Red berries, brown sugar, citrus hops, with a warming finish. Enjoyable.

Gravity cask at Pigs Ear 2015 - London. Pours clear copper-red-gold with a creamy, off-white head. Nice piney aroma, with ripe citrus and bready malts. Light to medium sweet flavor with more resinous pine, toasted grains, light earthy bitterness, berries. Medium bodied with fine carbonation; good condition. Light flinty minerals in the finish, toasted brown bread, ripe orange, gooey pine. Not bad.

On tap at Tap East in Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford, London. Pours a bright clear chestnut brown colour with a long lasting firm light tan head. Aroma of nut, pine, caramel and malt. High level of hoppy bitterness, light sweetness. Soft carbonation, medium body, texture is oily. Dry bitter chocolate, toasted finish. A very good brew.
