A rich mahogany milk stout with chestnut highlights beneath a small, dark beige head. The palate features an initial sweetness followed by the play of roasted grains. With no significant hop flavour or aroma, the stout has a fairly dark, sweet finish.

Cask-conditioned at the Seven Stars, Bristol 4/1/2017. Near black in colour, with a slight, off-white head. Toasty malts, a caramel sweetness, berry fruits and a whiff of smoke, before a gentle finish. Fine.

Cask at Chippenham Beer Festival. Black sweet beer with some smoky chocolate. Quite fruity- stewed plums maybe. Creamy on the palette. The fruitiness didn’t quite gel for me, needed a bit more roasted malt to balance it.
