330ml @ Ryan's. Appearance: brown with a tan head. Aroma: roasted malts, barrel notes, grainy, some dark fruitiness, and even a little bit of smoke, some maple syrup. Taste: pretty good body, moderately sweet, noticeable maple syrup. Overall: good.

Poured from 330mL bottle. Dark brown with small beige head. Mild maple syrup, bourbon barrel, and grainy roast malt, feint hint of leather, enjoyable.

330mL bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is very grainy, with lots of toasted grains upfront, followed by bourbon barrels, very subtle maple syrup, and soft, crusty, bready malt. Flavour is dry and somewhat grainy, with maple syrup remnants, subtle bourbon barrels, and lots of toasted grains. The toasted grains dominate, with subtle maple syrup and bourbon lingering on the finish. Very tasty, mostly grainy impie with subtleties.

Keg at Dogtap after it not appearing at that God awful AGM. It pours oily opaque black with a small, but lasting light brown head. The aroma is intense and intoxicating, the maple syrup hit stout right in the face, maple glazed donuts, umami, liquorice, bitter dark chocolate, churros with chocolate sauce, some dried fruits, fruit cake, vanilla, toasted marshmallow and jammy wagon wheel. The taste is slick, oily, unctuous, filthy, bitter - sweet, some warming spice, vague heat from chilli I assume, bitter dark chocolate, toasted marshmallow, vanilla, gateaux, espresso coffee, slick maple syrup vibes but not as in your face as the aroma, jammy wagon wheel, booze soaked oak and a touch of liquorice with a smooth, chocolatey maple syrup finale. Fulsome body, fine carbonation and slick mouth feel. The snout has more maple syrup and umami that the taste. Really like the balance of flavours on the taste. Moreish and quite unique from the previous editions of the Dog Anniversary beers.
