Bottle shared late-nite during RBWG 2016 - big thanks to Cloin. Pours clear gold with a creamy white head. The nose has ripe citrus, pine, orange rind. Medium sweet flavor with grainy malts, rindy orange, some earth, pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly warming finish, more toasted grains, earth, dirty pine. Not bad.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe: poured into a Chimay badged chalice at home on 15th Jan 2016. Clear amber/terracotta body, wispy white head. Fruity hop nose and taste, bitter and crisp. Citrus notes toy with the semi-sweet malts resulting in a hop centric brew that any hop monster would appreciate and enjoy. I too enjoyed the bitterness and hop profile.

28th October 2015
Clear amber beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth with modest fine carbonation. Light malts, a little creamy sweetness. Decent tropical fruits, ripe mango, a little peach. Very mild bitterness on the smooth finish. A notably mellow IIPA but it has a depth of flavour.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a thin off-white head. Low carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of musty orange, caramel and earthy hops. Flavour of golden syrup, apricot and orange. Lingering bitterness. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I like high bitterness in DIPAs.

Cask at Free Trade Inn, Newcastle Upon Tyne, Byker. Wednesday 30th September 2014. Pours light orangey/warm gold. Bittersweet tangy marmalade really lovely with pithy dry finish. I have to concede that this is better than my Double Axe (this is Loz’s) the Buxton beer is lovely but a little cloying. A7 A5 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8
