The Roman God Consus was the protector of grains, and lends his name to a stout packed full of them! He was also the god of secret conferences and a hidden master of the Earth.

9/12/2023. Bottle from CentrAle, Newcastle. Shared at EBGPQF. Pours black with a small off-white to beige head. Aroma of chocolate, berries, roasted malt, caramel, vanilla, dark fruits. Moderate sweetness, bitterness and body. Average carbonation. Nice roasted fruity finish. Nicely done.

Bottle from the brewery online shop. Pours black with a thin persistent beige head. Aromas of dark chocolate, roasted hazelnut. Taste is more of the same, faint lick of coffee too. Well balanced, easy drinking. Nice.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cola black with an edge of red. Creamy tan head. Nose - dark chocolate, with an edge of coffee and hazelnut. Taste - dark chocolate and raisin. Again a coffee and nutty edge. Palate - medium bodied at least. Sweet middle, roasty finish. Overall - good stuff, this!
