Pours yellow with a fading head.Nose shows funky wild yeast and soft custard and vanilla notes along with elderflower and lemon.Flavours are similar. Gentle acidity, funk and woody notes.Carbonation is too high.

Bottle. Pale straw gold with a white head that’s soon gone. Damp wheaty aroma with old lemons, lime, apricot stones. Husky and grainy sweetness, some nectarines, lime, mouldering lemons, mellow apples, hint of hard spice. Moderate sourness, damp laundry funk. No bitterness. The minerally feel that works well in some other Moa beers doesn’t work so well here and maybe there’s a little too much sweetness, but this is pretty good and not entirely unlike a gueuze.

Bottle (2013) at the Charlottesville Tasting shared by nate2g, thanks! Clear golden yellow with off-white head. Aromas of vinegar, tart citrus, funk. Tastes of vinegar, lemon citrus, funk, floral notes. Medium-light body with a dry finish.

Bottle shared by nate2g at the CVille Foxy Knoxy tasting. Clear golden, thin fizzy off-white head, decent retention. Aroma of white grape, wood, spice, wheat. The taste is wheat, white grape, spice. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, mild lingering tartness.

2013: Lemon, black pepper nose. Milky yellow, thin head. Lime, mild cheese, maybe colby. Medium body, good level of sourness. Nice subtelties.

Bottle courtesy of nate2g, thanks! Cloudy pale yellow color, white head. Aroma of funky herbs, light medicine. Taste is tart lemon, vanilla, odd combo. Interesting.
