Very dark brown with a creamy, off-white head. Aroma of burnt grains and hazelnut. Taste is grainy and herbal bitter with both roasted tones with an underlying licorice sweetness. Finishes burnt and faintly coffee ground sour. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, acceptable chewiness. Good.

(Draft at Zum Franziskaner, Stockholm, 17 April 2025) Dark brown colour, almost black, with frothy beige head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of dark bread, coffee and liquorice. Malty, roasted taste with dark bread, liquorice, cacao, coffee and a mild roasty bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a slight sweetness. Tasty and harmonious schwarzbier. Very nice.
