Bottle. Real Ale Shop in Branthill, Norfolk. Love that rating below, that compares this to 14% diabetes juice. Idiot. Anyway, this is just about black. Ring and film of shiny, tan head. Nose has dark chocolate. Rum and raisin ice cream. Cake mix. Taste is all twang and vinous. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Some rum and raisin ice cream to finish. Nice one. Big twang.

Black color with a fine beige top. Good intensity in the aroma. Medium (+) body and a soft carbonation level. Tad sweet. A rare mix of peat, licorice, fruity, coffee and roast. Not really my beer. But still a decent one.

Cask at Kings Head in Norwich, shared with friends. Deep dark brown body. Filmy layer. Dotted spots on the glass. Aroma of dried fruits and roasted malts. Rather rich dark fruity flavours, coffee, tobacco and liquorice. Roasted mid-bitter finish. Well bodied. Pleasant with sipper qualities (18.02.2017).

At home, ordered from Beers of Europe. Piercing aroma. The booze really comes through, alongside stewed fruit, spices and liquorice. Glossy. Dark, with reddish brown highlights. The head soon disappears. Medium bitter at first, a sweet wave, before a pepper (and booze) appear in the finish. Coffee and chocolate preced vanilla cream. Creamy. Slick. A tickle of carbonation. Long astringent finish. What can I say - really enjoyed this. Went down a treat on a Sunday evening.
