Cask in the Goodmans Fields Spoons.Clear dark red - brown beer. Short pale tan head. Smooth and slightly dry palate. Somewhat insipid dark malt, very mild. A little tangy chocolate. Semi dry finish. Drinkable but pretty dull and a pint was more than enough.

Cask at Baxter’s Court, JDW, London. Pours clear, dark brown with a tight, tan cream cap. Toasty toffee and brown bread on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor, brown bread, more toffee, some toasty brown sugar, hints of dark berries and charred wood. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation. Sweet finish with more toasted toffee, bready malts, some dried out dark fruits. Tasty porter.

Cask at The Gunmakers, Clerkenwell, London. A dark brown/black coloured pour with a medium beige head on top. Aroma of dark fruit and caramel. Tastes of dark fruit, caramel, malty, slightly bitter. It is OK but lacking in something.

Cask at the Green Dragon, Croydon. It pours deep brown, with a medium beige head. The nose is dark fruit (plum, cherry and raisin), bitter chocolate, hint of malt vinegar, light coffee and ash. The taste is dark fruit (plum, prune and blackcurrant), roasted malt, filter coffee and tire, with a dry, tarry finish. Light-medium body and soft carbonation. I would have liked it to have a slightly fuller body. Decent enough, but lacks the drinkability of their Standard bitter.
