Superficial festival rating at DØE - Ølfestival København 2017. Slightly hazy, deep orange body with a diminishing off-white head. Weak malty aroma with brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet caramel malt, bread and sugar. Medium body and sweet aftertaste. Kvass is not my favorite style at all, but I was a bit curious to dry this interpretation of this style. I actually don’t reminds me so much of the few other Kvass I have sampled, but at least it’s sweet, breadish and low in alcohol.

DØE. Light hazy brown with a small off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel and brown sugar. Flavor is quite sweet. Sweet finish. Watery. 180517

Draught at KØ17. No aroma. Hazy brown colour. Earthy flavour, almost moldy. Thin mouthfeel and not sweet. I know kvass can be fairly dodgy, but I never would have guessed that this is kvass had I not known.

From tap. Pours dark orange, clear and small tan hed. Aroma is fruity. Sweet and toasted malty. Sweet, toasted malty. Sweet and slight sourish finish.

[ As SPYBREW Kvass ].Clear medium amber colour with a small to average, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel - bread, brown sugar, sugary, watery brown sugar. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average duration, brown sugar, watery brown sugar, caramel - bread.
