200ml draught, 9.6 % abv, enjoyed in the beer garden at the brewpub. Lacing rings down the glass. Dissipating fawn-coloured head. Pitch black body. Inviting aroma of dark chocolate malts added by liquorice. Grainy cocoa, toffee, and mid-sweet liquorice to the taste character offset by roasted hop bitterness towards a long-lived ending. Warmth from the alcohol. Full bodied. Good sipper, not overly sweet. (Copenhagen 09.08.2017).
