Citrus with a light malt sweetness. Perfect gateway beer for those moving away from bland lagers for the first time but enough about it to satisfy the connoisseurs. Unfiltered and naturally hazy.

Bottle from BEER:shop, Hitchin. Poured hazy dark gold with a lasting off-white head. Aroma of citrus fruit, hop, grapefruit, pomegranate and straw. Moderate sweetness, heavy fruity bitterness. Medium body, soft carbonation. Finish is bitter grapefruit, some dryness. Good, enjoyed the heavy bitterness but maybe not for everyone.

Cask at the Greyfriars, Reading. A hazy dary amber pour with a ring of white head; spiced orange aroma; sweet blood orange taste; with a drier finish, with lingering orange. An unusual taste for Citra, but rather flat compared with the Brew Lab Session IPA.

Bottle split at Bespin Base, W2, thanks to his Kempness, 10/06/15. Lightly hazed golden amber with a moderate off white covering. Nose is pine, mandarin, straw, peach, straw, citric peel. Taste comprises earthy mineral notes, melon, orange pith, lemon rind, juicy hop strokes. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with an earthy hop rinse. Ok APA but lower end of the LAPA’s.

Bottle at Leighton’s place. Many thanks to Leighton for this one. Hazed golden / orange coloured pour with a halo of white head. Aroma is semi sweet grains, juicy lemon, background tropical fruit, mango. Flavour is grainy, little oxidisaed grains, juicy orange, peel, tropical, dry finish. Palate is a little thin, grainy, moderate carbonation. Decent effort.

Bottle shared in London - picked up at the Lab. Pours mostly clear, vibrant gold with a frothy white head. The nose has some juicy citrus fruits, tangerine, orange. Light to medium sweet flavor with pale bread, more tangerine, mellow bitterness, some pine needles, hay. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Well balanced finish, more pale bread, nice citrus fruit character. Solid overall.

Bottle thanks to Leighton. It pours hazy amber with a small white head. The nose is soft, sweet, juicy orange citrus, tangerine, pissy hops, light green grass and brioche. The taste is smooth, light bitterness, juicy orange, tangerine, doughy, mild pine and minerals with a short, dry finish. Light-medium body and average carbonation. Simple, easy going pale.
