Hazy gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Palate is light and minerally crisp. Thin malts. Very floral and fairly sweet raspberry, the floralness is bordering on perfumey. A surpressed bitterness on the light dry crisp finish. I feel the Mad Hatters have lost their way a little. This tastes like a Belgian gimmick beer. It's fine but more naff than mad.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. Copper colour. Soft haze. Thin and dense, lasting, white head. Nose has raspberry puree. Spicy biscuit. Peach melba. Clean malts. Taste is a little sweet, with moderate, spicy hop. Clean mouthfeel. Foamy carbonation. Light spice and raspberry to finish. Ages since I’ve had a Mad Hatter, and this is a good one.
