A quartet of hops are joined by hand grafted lemon juice and zest. The result is a flavour melee of sweet and sharp citrus flavours, which are given an extra twang with the peppery flavours of our traditional farmhouse Saison yeast. Contains lactose.

Bottle given to me by the brewery. Pale and slightly hazy gold, with plenty of fizz and a slight, white, head. Slightly tart, lemon curd and grassy hop aroma. Easy drinking, with more lemon fruit, gentle malts and a vaguely sour finish. Lacked a bit of oomph but pleasant nonetheless.

Bottle from The Beerhive. Hazy golden body with a medium white head. Faint lacing. Aroma of icing sugar, cider, poached pears and lemon juice. Flavour of cloudy lemonade, white grape,plain cracker and lemon zest. Thin to medium body with a light mouthfeel. Soft fizz. I liked this, but a Berliner Weisse titled ’Lemon Sour’ should be sharper and more citric than this.

Keg at Mother Kelly’s. It pours hazy gold with a decent white head. The nose is fresh lemon, lemon sherbet, light soap, candy and mild sourness. The taste is smooth, fresh lemony action, lemon sherbets, only light sourness, earthy, funk and wood with a dry finish. Light body and moderate, foamy carbonation. Soft , simple and refreshing, but not sour enough!

Keg at mother kellys for the sour weekend. Hazed bright yellow / straw coloured pour with a reluctant white head. Aroma is fresh lemon , pez sweets, bit of red bull, pollen. Spicy lemon. Aroma is nice a fresh. Flavour is composed of grainy wheat, floral lemon, pear drops, rustic, not much sour. Palate is medium light moderate carbonation. Zippy lemon and dry in the finish. Refreshing and flavour full.
