30/09/2017 @home - 50cl bottle from Bierhalle Deconinck. Clear amber, no head, really no, no carbonation. Nose is grainy, thin ripe fruits, raisins, alcohol. Taste is sweet malt syrup, hint of toffee, overripe fruits, some raisin, hint of vanilla, bitterness and alcohol burn in the end. Boozy desert beer to enjoy at ease.

Sampled from bottle during Borefts 2017. Clear, dark amber. Sweetish-malty, slightly fruity aroma of caramel, molasses, raisins and brown sugar. Very sweet, malty, slightly fruity taste of caramel, honey, raisins and some sultanas, followed by a long, slightly bitter, rather boozy finish. Full body, oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Big thanks to Jef for the sample & tderoeck since I assume that he was the intended recipient. 500 ml. bottle sampled @ Borefts 2017. Day 1. Great label once again as with others in the series. No carbonation intended. Darker amber. Nose is sweet malt syrup, good oxidation, almost hint sherry vs. whisky. Taste I warming malt syrup, good oxidation, orange peel, herbal bitters vaguely, warming sugar whisky, oily sugary whisky but not overly so. Vaguely watery due to lack of carbonation. Blurs the border between a very heavy desert beer or a session whisky of sorts. Not entirely my thing but very interesting and different.
