Brown, chocolate, black, and crystal malts produce a dark rich ale with roasted vanilla aroma, and a sweet chocolate coffee flavour. This RUM version is conditioned with Dark Navy Rum, giving added sweetness and rich rum aroma.

Cask at Norwich Beer Fest: Poured a dark brown black with a tan head. Aroma is rich roasted malts, boozy, rum. Taste is roasty malts, boozy, rum, spicy.

Cask (gravity) @ 33th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2016, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England. [ As Bexley Black Prince - Rum ].Clear light to medium black - red brown color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, dark malt, cake - rum cake, light chocolate. Flavor is moderate sweet with a average to long duration, cake, dark malt, sweet malt. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20161129] 6-2-6-3-12

Cask gravity at White Cliffs BF 2017. Black beer lasting tan head. Rum and chocolate on the aroma. Definitely rum in the mouth. A little thin in condition. Fine but not for me. Some bitterness on the finish. A little juicy

Pigs Ear Fest. Cask. Clear deep red - amber beer, tidy pale tan head. Palate is smooth and semi dry, modest carbonation. Smooth mellow dark malts. Ripe dark fruits. Trace of rum, pretty mild. Light.dry finish. Lacks boldness.

Cask at Pigs Ear ’16, 29/11/16. Light black with a tan head. Nose is light roast, papery tones, toffee, charr. Taste comprises earthy fruit rinds, cocoa powder, tar, faint rum and raisen. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Subtle barrel notes, drinkable porter but a touch basic for a BA affair.

Cask gravity at Pigs Ear. It pour deep brown with a decent light tan head. The aroma is wood, chewy, fruit cake, rum, tangy, brown bread and some booze. The taste is smooth, toasty, wood, earth, leather, chewy, resin, toasty, fruit cake and dull rum and earth with a dry, chewy finish. Medium body and soft carbonation. Fairly OK, but no game changer.

Cask at Pigs Ear 2016 - London. Pours red-brown with a frothy, light tan head. The aroma has ripe, semi-dark fruits, berries, hints of toffee. Light-medium in body with well toasted bread, cocoa, creamy toffee, more berries, earth. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Moderately sweet on the finish, with more chocolate, ripe berries, raisins. Fun stuff.

Cask gravity at the pigs ear beer fest 2016. A clear mahogany brown coloured ruby red coloured pour with a small tan head. Aroma is burnt brown sugars, apple, liquorice, black malts, woody. Flavour is composed of, sweet, burnt toffee meaty black malts, liquorice, burnt brown sugars. Toasted malts. Little wood character. Palate is medium sweet, rounded, lowish carbonation. Little lingering vanilla.
