(Keg at SOPP Helsinki 2017) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was medium sized and white. Aroma had fried liver, sweetness and dried peas. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were sweetness, malts, grass and bitterness. Aftertaste was malty and bitter. A messy brew.

Draught @ Bock’s Corner Brewery, Gerbyntie 18, Vaasa, Finland 65230. [ As Bock’s Maibock ].Unclear medium amber orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, bread, sweet malt, fruity malt, vegetables. Flavor is moderate sweet and light bitter with a average duration, sweet malt, bread, pale malt, fruity malt, vegetables. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. On tap at the brewpub. Typically malt-forward, but not particularly refined. Sweetish, dominant bitterness, soft carbonation. Its not bad at all, but it certainly doesn’t stand out either.

Draught @ Brewpub. Poured amber color with a thin white head. Aroma has vegetables and berries in aroma. Flavor has caramel sweetness, more cooked vegetables and some sausage. Too bad about the veggie notes.

Draught@Bock’s Corner, Vaasa. Hazy orange colour, small white head. Aroma is sweet malts, toffee, some nice floral and mild yeasty notes as well. Flavour is a bit grainy, some wooden notes, mild toffee. Also a nice floral and fruity hoppy bitterness to it with a slight touch of yeast. Refreshing and nice. The Sun was shining and it was warm on the terrace, so I had to have a few.
