An homage to one of the most classic characters in mead history, Marion is named for Maid Marion, the legendary love interest of Robin Hood. Marion is one of our all time favorites at Superstition. It has won multiple awards over the years, including a Gold Medal at the Mazer Cup International in 2016. This craft beverage is an excellent expression of honey and berries, and pairs well with rich cheeses, charcuterie and dark chocolate.

Sample tasted thank to SinH4 @ Borefts hotelroom. Thanks Stefan! Nice clear but dark, deep dark red to purple color, no head. Aroma is like a divine red wine with loads of forest fruitiness in it. Flavor has it too: all the different fruits show up in there. Don't really get honey. Decent to medium body. Intense though, with a warming alcohol finish. Nice.

Bottle pour at Superstition Meadery. Pours deep red, ruby, no head. Pretty much a fruity berry bomb, blackberries, raspberries all around, some blueberries, honey. Thick, smooth. Fantastic sour and sweet balance. Great one.

(On tap @ Mikkeller and Friends, CPH, July 5/17) Pours a clear dark purplish-tinged red with no head. Aroma is sweet and fruity, notes of red wine grapes, black currant, blueberry, blackberry, honey. Flavour is sweet but with a definite tart tang to it as well, vinous red dessert wine quality, imbued with notes of black currant, blackberry, black raspberry and blueberry, berry seeds, light tannins, honey, quite rich but the acidic note provides nice balance. Medium full and softly syrupy with no carbonation and a hint of alcohol. Lovely sipper.

Looks like red wine. Aroma is raspberries black berries some dry red wine. Taste is quite dry red wine tanins with slight sweet honey and lots of fruity sourness. Berries. Velvety smooth but a bit too much tanins for me. Slight spicyness. Pretty nice
