This Pilsner is an American Pils with the characteristics of being light in body and color, refreshingly crisp and moderately hopped. Only 2-Row-Barley-Malt, Carapils and light caramel are used for this smooth beer. The bitterness comes from a blend of domestic hops.

Slightly hazy dull gold. Gentle carbonation but no head. Smells very macro - all fusels and acetaldehyde. No hops. Vague, heavy, doughy malts, accents of corn syrup and some background, indistinct toejammy sort of raunch. The general blandness helps it go down but even with the help it’s a bit labourious to choke back a full bottle.

bottle - Pours clear yellow with a medium head and a light malt aroma. There’s very little hops presence here. The flavor is pretty much the same as most pale lagers. It has the usual mild, grainy malt flavor, though it’s fortunately not as watery as some similar brews. Clean and easy drinking, it compares favorably to the Buds of the worlds, but unfavorably to most craft beers.

Pour is a golden with a white head. Aroma is slightly malty with nothing really redeaming. Flavor is very sweet with a watery finish. Another crap job by Joseph Huber.

Bottled. The usual yeasty Berghoff taste in an otherwise basic beer. Also seems to have iron in the water. No real bitterness, and not much character.
