Cask at Whitelock's Ale House, Leeds. Pours black with small tan head. Roasted malts, chocolate, some licorice, some dark fruits. Sweet, soft carbonation. Some bitterness in finish. Medium bodied.

Tried at the Nottingham Beer Festival 2017. Black colour with a tan head Aroma has roasted malts, chocolate and coffee. Taste roasted bitter malts and light chocolate sweet. Full body

Bottle 330ml. [ As Track Toba ].Clear dark brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, light beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, oat, perfume. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, roasted, oat, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20150801] 7-4-7-3-15

Cask at the 2017 Manchester Beer Festival. Brown pour with a beige head. Dark fruit, raisin and chocolate nose and flavour. Very nice.

Cask at port Street... Dark black... Thin tan lacing.. Soft sweet toffee chocolate.. Big chocolate.. Rich malts dark chocolate.. Soft licorice.. Heavy sweet chocolate roast

Gravity dispense at the Mulberry Tree, Twickenham, 06/11/15. Black with a well appointed dirty tan head that retains well. Nose is big on liquorice, aniseed balls, light chocolate, dark fruits, toffee. Taste comprises light cocoa rub, aniseed balls, liquorice, fruit cake, charr, roasted malt. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with light hop bitterness and earthy roast intertwined. Solid stuff.

From bottle at HNB with JMD 06.06.15. Almost black. Pale brown head and lacing. Aroma of cocoa, pine and citrus. Similar taste, with vanilla and star anise.
