Bottle must have been badly sealed. No carbonation & totally flat. Had a few sips. Tastes if liquorice, malt & spiced fruit. Too dodgy to risk drinking.

Bottle from the Green Shop in Berwick upon Tweed. Appearance - opaque black with an olive sheen. Nice lacy head. Nose - earthy and dark chocolate. Creamy. Taste - roast, creamy chocolate. Dry dark chocolate on the end. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture. Good beer. Overall - it's no black IPA. Good stout though.

Bottle shared with Ashton McCobb. Pours clear dark brown with a thin almost beige head. Light chocolate and hazelnuts. Taste has some citrus, more chocolate. Not a black ipa in my book, but not bad.

Handpull cask at Broood, Leicester. Dark brown, slightly translucent with a small sandalwood head. Light liquorice aroma with touches of smoke. Tastes bittersweet and lightly hopped. Touches of pine in the aftertaste. Not particularly engaging but it certainly has its moments.
