Ever wanted to make like Alice and enter a wonderland of your own? Well, to that we say ‘drink me’. This doppelbock is your golden ticket to a prelapsarian forest full of apples. Well… we did already pick those apples and baked it into a creamy Austrian pastry with vanilla, raisins and cinnamon. We used the best german malts and hops to get down this rabbit hole. Drink this portion and you’ll soon be consulting caterpillars, organizing mad tea parties and playing croquet with the queen. Yes, wonderland is yours for the taking. Just don’t lose your head down there.

Dark, dark brown with a frothy, beige head that lingers. Aroma of raisins, vanilla, caramel. Given the label and aroma I’m half-resigned to this being a sweet mess, but the taste is surprisingly balanced, mildly sweet, with burnt, bitter overtones. Finishes similarly the lingering cinnamon. Mildly warming, with the booze mostly but not completely hidden. Full-bodied, mild carbonation. Good.

A dark brown beer, a head is medium and beige. Aroma has caramel, apples, other ripe fruitness. Taste has caramel, apples, some spicyness and breadyness, not too sweet. Almost full bodied. Very nice.

Clear, chestnut color and a white head. Sweetish nose, Apples, cinnamon, fai t cherry sweetness. Xmas spices. Sweet alcoholic taste, raisins and apples, gai t cherries. Sllightly noozy.

Bottled (Alko Web). Deep amber colour with a mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is lots of apple crub pie with some slight alcohol sweetness and dried fruits to it. Flavour is a bunch of apple, crumby pie and some alcohol with dried fruits. Even though very sweet, not overly sweet. Good dessert beer, and a good sipper too.

Flesje gedeeld door Tomhendriksen en gedronken met familie. Robijnrood bier met weinig schuim. Aroma van kersen en kaneel. Smaak van ( te veel ) kaneel en een weinig fruit; kersen, appel. Nasmaak is zoet met kaneel.

33cl can from a friend. Thin beige head. Clear amber pour. Sweet aftertaste. Nicely balanced.
