Keg at Brew by Numbers, Bermondsey, London. A black coloured pour with a healthy beige head on top. Roasty, malty, chocolate, caramel aroma and taste. Some cola in there too, very thin, expected something better from this brewery.

Keg at BD Sheps Boost, 21/10/19. Light black with a moderate tan head. Nose is mellow roast, dusty fruits, toffee, brown sugars. Taste comprises chocolate biscuit, quite a sweet presence, brown sugar melt, roasted malts, toffee fudge, light tummy tickle. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Ok if a touch on the sweet side.

Keg at BD Union Square. It pours dark brown to black with a small beige rim. The aroma is rich roast, earthy, wood, umami, cola cubes, rum, dull smoke, coffee grounds, vanilla and toasted marshmallow. The taste is slick, oily, rum tug rugger, dried fruits, raisin, sultana, fruit cake, cola cubes, rum baba, earthy, umami and some warmth with a drying finish. Medium body+ and fine carbonation. Very fruity stuff. Fun.

Keg at brewdog Edinburgh. Pours deep ruby, nose is raisin, smoky, burnt malts, caramel, taste is similar, chewy, not bad. 3.9

Tap at BrewDog St. Pauli [shared with Grumbo]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Nutty, toasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee beans, cocoa, rum. Taste is initially a bit flat, roasty dark malty, later more and more coffee infused, a touch of rum, cocoa, some hoppy notes with a touch of spruce, minimally oaky overtones. Kind of a late bloomer.
