Tap at BrewDog St. Pauli [shared with Grumbo]. Opaque, darkest brown colour with small, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, beige head. Nutty, toasty, dark malty aroma, notes of coffee beans, cocoa, rum. Taste is initially a bit flat, roasty dark malty, later more and more coffee infused, a touch of rum, cocoa, some hoppy notes with a touch of spruce, minimally oaky overtones. Kind of a late bloomer.

Keg at Brewdog Birmingham; dark brown pour with a thin tan head, aroma has light rum and roast, taste has some tropical fruit, white rum and a hint of spice.

Tap. Pours black. Aroma and flavor are roast, malt, fruits, spices, raisins. Overall: good.

Keg at the brewery taproom - Bermondsey. Pours opaque brown with a tight, creamy tan head. Nicely rounded, with smooth chocolate, some mild ashy roast, baking cocoa, earth, dried berries. Medium bodied, with creamy-velvety texture, fine carbonation. Smooth finish, nicely balanced, more layered cocoa. Solid.
